This reef is located very near the tip of Orote Point directly south of the Apra Harbor entrance buoys. The reef flats gradually drop off to a 120' sandy bottom and are covered with plating and soft corals.
As you drift further to the western tip of Orote the reef structure changes to and has quite a few "mini" crevices on the upper reef. There are less soft corals but numerous hard corals and schooling fish. It's not uncommon to see different schools of barracuda and jacks here.
NOTE: There is a small wreck very close to the entrance buoy. See the JMP Maru.
CAUTION: This is usually a drift dive and with heavy currents it's quite easy to drift around the tip of Orote point. Stay close to the upper reef and inform the boat captain that you are doing a drift dive and that you might go around the tip. This dive should not be attempted as a shore dive. Each diver should have a safety tube (sausage).
